CCR....John Fogerty

 There are only a few groups that make me stop and listen, and CCR (Credence Clearwater Revival) with John Fogerty is one of those.  Hard to explain, but he is unique, with talent that grabs me.

Have you ever seen rain?

John Fogerty is an awesome musician whose songs have been ringing in my house for decades.  His voice has a ragged baritone, passionate about his music.

Went to a performance in Laughlin, CA, about 2 years go.  Still remember it. He closed with my favorite "Bad Moon Rising", still gives me goosebumps. 

How about you? Have you ever had a performer who grabs you and doesn't let go?

    Too many to list. On this subject, my favorite is Lodi... I always seem to go for the obscure one.

    I do love CCR but my fav will make you laugh. John Denver. Everyone at work made fun of me whenever he would come on the radio in the operating room. Too bad, I made sure they knew I loved him and now I'm sure whenever he comes on the radio they think of me! Ha!

      Loved John Denver. He died too young, left some good music.

    I about wore out my copy of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain". I loved that song and I still do. The Bad Moon Rising misheard "Bathroom on the right" lyric is so legendary that I understand that CCR started to make jokes about it in their concerts. Still love CCR!     I liked CCR, but I'm with YAYA, I like John Denver and Little Richard LOL but I am OLD. Liked Tennessee Ernie also.

    As my mother likes to remind me, CCR played at my baby shower. I don't actually recall said baby shower as I was yet to be born, but whenever they come on the radio...

    I generally don't have favorite groups. I like individual songs. A good CCR song is "Hey tonight".

    I still like CCR and several other bands, but haven't had any grab and never let go. There have been a few that I've let go, hearing them now I wonder what I was thinking when I liked them so many years ago.

    Yes. John Fogerty. Never a bad song... not one. The same with the Everly Brothers. Not a bad song.
