Hope comes in degrees.

It is 93º outside and the time is 10:30 AM. By noon, 104 deg. is expected.

The end of July hovers in our roasting.

When life is unbearable in a California roasting oven, a CostCo or Sam's trip is required.  It is air-conditioned.

The chilled fresh produce room can hold 20 people, easy.  The chilled dairy products room can hold at least 50 people, as long as everyone keeps moving.

This was there…

And this was there…

There is hope after all.

  1. I am so not ready to even think about Christmas - but well know the delight of airconditioned venues in our summer. Which hopefully will be late and mild.

  7. Hey, what happened to Halloween? A little early for a snowman but if it was over 100 degrees I would ready for cold! We've had so much rain and I keep praying some of it along with cooler temps make it out West! Hopefully!

  8. Indeed, you do have to start planning early, even if you don't decorate until after Thanksgiving.
