I am an American by choice. I believe the flag should be respected and I have problems seeing it used as a symbol of righteousness by certain members of the public I see in demonstrations on TV. Often accompanied by long guns and such.
ReplyDeleteForever in peace may it wave.
ReplyDeleteSadly I believe that some people use the flag (and not just yours) to wave in front of them and conceal actions/behaviours that the founders of their county would. not. approve.
ReplyDeleteI once got to go to a flag retirement. It was quite the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteHow i pray we may live under our flag in peace.
ReplyDeleteI never take much notice of flags apart from knowing every country has one and some are nicer to look at than others.

ReplyDeleteI apologize for taking so long to visit. It was definitely beyond my control. I’m trying to catch up, but it’s harder than I actually imagined it would be, especially with my very slow internet.
ReplyDeleteThis was a lovely post. I somehow believe our flag is being torn apart right now, just as our country is. I hope we can bring everything back together soon.
