| She helped pack cartridges, noticed a flaw in safety |
Vera Stoudt sent a request to President FDR on Feb. 10th., 1943, with an idea to seal ammo boxes that would save soldier lives. Her idea was acted upon, producing duct tape which has served that purpose and since become a part of almost every American home.
Oh boy howdy, over decades we have certainly saved a lot of money, time, and sobbing with duct tape.
