Shortage of Housing?

Finding a place to live is essential to a good life.  A home can be anything and anywhere. Could you live in any of these places below?

"Coober Pedy, located in South Australia, is recognized as the opal capital of the world, contributing over 70% of the global supply of opals. Since its establishment in 1915, following the initial opal discovery, this unique town has developed an innovative approach to managing the extreme outback heat by creating underground living spaces."

Built on a cliff, it is even more thrilling than the Hanging Temple. The "Horseshoe Temple" has a history of 1,600 years.

A good example of Yemeni architecture, “Iman’s Rock Palace” is five stories high and has a system to cool water in earth ware jars.

It would be a stretch to say I would or could live in any of these. When I viewed these photos, I wondered about the people who lived there with their families. I could almost hear children playing and catch the scent of food cooking.

Tis home where e’er the heart is,
Where e’er its loved ones dwell,
In cities, or in cottages,
Throng’d haunts or mossy dell,
The heart’s a rover ever,
And thus on wave and wild,
The maiden with her lover walks,
The mother with her child.

Missing photos from And the Rolls Keep Coming In.

Since yesterday's photos really didn't transfer, here maybe will be replacements:

These are the missing photos. Dang. How I hate messing with the computer when my head won't cooperate. Fill in the blanks.

And the rolls keep coming in

Life is hard when you're lazy.
PInterest
Today I have watched Mythbusters, followed by Bourne: Supremacy. Currently, I am following Jurassic Park, which we have seen at least four times over the past four months. We have been watching Anime' Hunter X Hunter, we are now on episode 28.  By golly, I hope that Gon and Kurapika defeat Hisoka soon. I hate him so much.

Shortly after the toilet paper ravaging, someone mentioned that TP could be ordered online. So I did some researching and came up with some orders. What I ordered in March arrived in July.  The quality is quite different from Charmin's.

#1 from China, #2 Korea, #3 Charmin
Charmin, 2 ply
64 rolls, 3 ply
3 ply, Korean

Okay, the size differences we have clearly displayed. But, the important question is: which one is most absorbent, stronger?

The comparable sizes: #1 and #2 are the same size.  #3 Charmin is smaller.

The least absorbent is #3 Charmin. #1 also low absorbency.  #2 was excellent.

Good well-made product, Korea

Given my rigorous research, I guessing that we are set for four or more months. By then, who knows what product will find itself flying off the shelves.

This is such an odd choice of a post. But, the brain said "Why not? Why the heck not?" So, who knows what else will fly off my fingers.

Got me one...

B-29 Super Fortress - WWII American bomber.
B-29 Superfortress
Flying over China, Bud stared over the wing of B-29, nicknamed “Bomber Betty”.  Darkness draped over the mountains below, hiding the aluminum of crashed planes, called "Tin Can Alley".

The pilot, Capt. Ezell eased down low over the China Sea, conserving on fuel, riding below radar.  The white caps of the water below flew along with the plane.

Japan was twenty minutes away.

Ezell began the ascent to high above the waters, high enough to drop the payload.

Bud stretched legs and arms, a hard job for a tall man, a bay gunner in the bomber.  He gave the other bay gunner a shout.  “Hey, Sweetman!  Get up, time to go to work.”

Sweetman replied with some expected profanity, and both checked their guns on the ready.

Ten...five minutes to Japan.

That was when the Japanese fighters buzzed out from the clouds, fast mosquitoes darting around, above, and below...ack-ack-ack tracers...tail gunner swirling to hit the darting planes.

Bud and Sweetman aimed, fired, aimed again...again...again.  I got one…yep, I got me one…

The bombs were released, target hit, damage confirmed, flames billowing.  Time to go home.  Time to fly low over the water, to use every drop of fuel needed to make it back to China.

Landing is a relief, after 24 hours in the air.

I got one…yep, I got me one….

My father Bud was one of the B-29 crew that flew in supplies to the starving Chinese people.  The Japanese had prevented supplies by barricading the coast lines.  My father was mainly involved in bombing runs over Japan.  I believe he and the crew flew 24? missions, some back to back.
