The large campus of students gathered on Thursday at a university of Utah. Numbers were estimated around 1,000+ and they were exciting to see Charlie Kirk. All over the world, people are mourning his assassination.
What can I say about Kirk? He was not afraid of truth.
He was tremendous. He was an honest, factual, open and helpful. Kirk traveled from campuses and around America, sharing his faith and belief to studentd were welcomed to talk to them, ask questions, express their thought and opinions.
Charlie Kirk asked questions and answered them with his wealth learned through his Relationship with God. He was a warrior for Christ. Hard to describe but he was bold, unafraid, and knowledgeable.
But, guessing from the reactions from liberal politicians, he rubbed them the wrong way. He didn't take their criticisms or nasty insinuations seriously He answered their questions, and many walked away thinking about the answers.
Yes many are wanting bibles, others are dusting off old bibles on the shelves. There’s a revival for all - young and old. It’s quite the tribute to this remarkable young person. May his name be a blessing and may God be with his family, comforting them in this tremendous loss.
ReplyDeleteSo much has happened this past week.
DeleteCharlie Kirk was the subject of my blog this week, Susan. He touched the minds and hearts of so many young (and old) people not just in this country but around the world. His legacy, I believe, will be a lasting one for the glory of God and for the freedoms we hold so dear. I'm sure Jesus told him when they met, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
ReplyDeleteI can almost see that.
DeleteMy heart and prayers go out to Charlie Kirk's family. His faith and love for Jesus was his banner. I just wish people would send up prayers and read scripture instead of making disgusting comments on TV and social media. Whether you liked him or not for his stance on topics based on his faith, the passing of someone so young who was a father and husband to a young family and also a son to his parents, is a tragedy. Thanks for this post Susan.
ReplyDeleteseeing the hate demonstrated was more than sad.
DeleteSuch a great loss although Heaven gained a warrior last week. He was all about communication, something one side just can't seem to understand...
ReplyDeleteso true.
DeleteIt's sad. I have a friend whose liberal friend fussed about him, and my friend explained a few things. The liberal friend is changing her tune.
ReplyDeleteI hope the friend finds her way.
DeleteThank you for this post Susan.
ReplyDeletePraying. God bless you all.
Charlie's death gave an opportunity for a lot of folks who'd been "sitting on the fence" to get off and think for themselves. He may have had a bigger impact in death than in life. Just like our savior.

ReplyDeleteI love Charlie Kirk and his voice of clarity and reason and polite discussions are missed. He is joyful in heaven; my heart and prayers go out to his widow and young children. I pray a Christian revival will happen in the USA and worldwide, sparked by this senseless murder. The lion is taken and the entire pride is awakened.
