Wow! They were all pretty fascinating, but I can't get over the one with the bricks. I am reminded of loading up the vehicle to move child(ren) into university housing, as well. -Jenn
these remind me of when i was running from LIFE to come here to Florid and take refuge with my aunt. I went by the storage unit in my 1984 Nissan Pickup, a tiny truck. I put everything I needed which stacked the back of the truck 3 feet taller than the cab height, stretched a tarp over all of it and tied it tight. Could only use side mirrors and the whole 7 hour drive i was terrified to change lanes on the interstate...got it done and left that storage unit piled high with furniture. the bricks are mind boggling
Just hope the bus driver remembered he had those prams hooked on to the bus! I wonder if the Guinness book of records has one for the most bricks on a bike! Great photos.

I am reminded of seeing women sitting elegantly side saddle on motor bikes in New Delhi traffic. Elegantly side saddle behind the rider while clutching several children and with armloads of shopping...
I'm surprised to see pram hooks on the front of the bus. Here in Australia they used to be on the back. When they were eventually removed, mothers had to fold their prams and carry them onto the bus along with the baby and the prams were placed in an empty section at the front of the bus. Imagine trying to fold and hold a pram, plus baby, plus handbag or maybe a bag or two of groceries. No wonder women stayed home a lot. Those who couldn't drive a car anyway.

ReplyDeleteWe were stuck in I-5 traffic coming up from Mexico. The trailer above lost its load of navel oranges. We sat for quite awhile. Air smelled great.

DeleteWe mostly see over loaded trailers with hay around here. I have seen a few cleverly laden Amish buggies too! The brick carrier boggles the mind!
