Bad Movies: Gotta love 'em

Bad Movie Blues | EVER WATCH A CRAPPY MOVIE AND THINK; IF IT HAD A DECENT PLOT, TALENTED ACTORS AND A GREAT DIRECTOR IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN GOOD? | image tagged in memes, philosoraptor, bad movies, wasting time | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Three months have passed and good entertainment is limited.  BUT, there are still movies few have seen.  The worst film titles with their movies are worth a giggle. And Lord knows that we all need to have some of a chuckle, giggle, or wonder.
Saving the World
My husband is veritable encyclopedia of awful movies with their awful titles. When we trolled through his knowledge, I discovered a treasure trove of really bad movies.

Warrior Nun
Strives to kill.
She came from where
She is Surrounded by Death.

Hardcore Henry
Fighting AKAN
Alive but dead
Finding his way home.

Thong Girl
Battling a villain
vs. Xalta
Where to destroy?
In Outer Space.

Snakes
Seeking food
On a plane.
Who dies?
Who wins?

I actually loved
this. Samuel L.
Jackson
Birdemic
Shock and terror
Cringe and gasp
It is what it is.

The Constant Gardener
Seeks with shears,
Sun goes down,
No one is safe.

Look and you will find them, sadly, but grab some popcorn, beer, and lots of wine. Darkness will fall, life goes on. Good or bad movies, they are all the same. Give your mind a rest.

The Attack of the.......

More photos available that are truly worthwhile to see
at Peterson's Donut Corner in Escondido, CA
I drove by this corner nearly every day on my way to teaching; I did not stop.
In a July 2018 post, Who comes up with this stuff, my husband will watch any movie that has a bad plot, weak writing, unknown actors, poor filming, and some sort of monster.  In one of a previous posts, it was mutant alligators
But that word could be substituted with MUTANT anacondas, dinosaurs, spiders, worms (Tremors..the first one was good; others not so much), ants, or any other species that could be creepy.

Yesterday, another bad movie appeared:
The Attack of the Killer Donuts.

Donuts/doughnuts should never have this moniker. Yes, donuts are bad for us.*  Fried and covered with some sort of sweet stuff, donuts are bad for us and technically could be blamed as a part of a diet that could really add to health problems.  But, oh yes, they are good.

This has everything a bad movie should have, including a scantily clad  girl scampering to get away from the donuts.  It has experienced actor C. Thomas Howell as the "name" that is supposed to give the movie some credit.

In the past history of "Attack of the....." movies, here are some titles:

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes,

Attack of the Clones (Star Wars),

Attack of the Dead Men (which is a serious accounting of WW1 German poisonous gases),

Attack of the 50 ft. woman, and

Attack of the Titans, an anime, a Japanese animation which is actually pretty good).

There are others that I cannot find, but this title is too good to waste. It could be argued that "Godzilla Attacks" could qualify.

These movies appeal to my husband and surely other men who like to ridicule them but continue to watch them. As my husband watches these works of art, I write; head phones are a marvelous invention.

*Okay, they are bad for us, but once now and then? I leave that up to you.

# Scantily clad girl. Does she survive?  Hmm.

I hope this photo can be seen.

This was as large as my head. My gr-daughters shared this with me.
I don't like apple fritters--heartburn.

Photo of Peterson's Donut Corner - Escondido, CA, United States. Yessss. The glazed twist! Super fluffy. And so very large.
Someone, not me, will eat all of this.
Now, I am certain that you will go on line to find this classic movie. Enjoy.

This is a repost of Sept. 2018, with edits.

Mega something vs. ?

From Wikipedia

A do-nothing weekend at home occurs only because migraines have determined this.  My husband John stays close, almost hovering because he knows how bad these monsters can be.

To entertain ourselves, John accesses a bad film.  Since subscribing to Netflix, he has discovered a whole new world of bad, really and truly awful movies that use every cliché known.

Wikipedia knows all.

How do we know this movie is a bad movie?  There are some indicators:

It is always filmed at the same time of day, when the sun is the brightest.

Jungle scenes are sparse on greenery, with the same trees filmed over and over from different angles.

It has generic music that never seems to match the action.

The film is ‘grainy’ and tries to be artsy, like “Blair Witch…”

Hero is always a tortured soul with a scarred past. Vague references are made to Somalia, Vietnam, Bosnia, or Gulf War.

The dialogue is corny, predictable, and always leads to bad stuff.  Examples are:  My way or the highway…Roger that…We need bigger guns/boats/knives…Let’s split up and cover more ground…Get the lead out…Bad-ass rebels, man…

Character names have character, like Cajun, Poison, or Scar.  And at least one of the commando-types will have a Native American connection with a meaningful tattoo.

Watching mindless bad films together and creating our own withering critiques somehow drives migraines back into the cage.

Time spent laughing is what really locks the cage doors.

Wikipedia has great knowledge.
