When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers,
The moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained,
What is man, that Thou art mindful of him?
And the Son of Man, that Thou visitest him?
For Thou has made him a little lower than the angels,
And hast crowned him with glory and honor.

I think man may have sunk a little lower than that these days haha
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder...just how low Man can sink...surely current events makes me ask that question, too.
DeleteWe are better than the angels - we are God's children and they are His servants.
ReplyDeleteUpon reading some explanations about that line ( which confused me, too), "Son of Man" refers to Christ, and "Thou has made him/Him a little lower than the angels" refers to Christ becoming man. Good verse.

DeleteIt is good to not think more highly of oneself than they should, but on the other hand, no one would exist unless our Heavenly Father personally wanted them to.

DeleteI think therefore I am - but I can't take credit for those words, still I do believe we become what we think. Isn't it interesting, where did all the sea of energy in the universe come from? Thinking breathing living lifeforms are all connected on earth and beyond.
