P is for Phillipians



Philippians 3:12


…But one thing I do: 

Forgetting what lies behind and 

pressing toward what lies ahead.  

I press on toward the goal 

to win the prize for which 

God has called me heavenward 

in Christ Jesus.

    I studied theology, our course was Acts and St. Paul's letters. And despite his misogynistic image, I've always been a follower.

      St. Paul was a man of his times and its view of women. He still held women in respect for their work in the church.

    Philipians 4:13 has been my mantra lately. Thankfully I've got that peace that keeps me calm. :)

      there are chapters in Philipians that I have "taken up camp"in, for the support those verses gave me.

      I'm 'camping' a bit here too. Always grateful for the ones I know and kicking my own rear that I don't spend enough time learning more because they really are helpful (always, but especially when you need them).

      I personally have spent too much time looking back with regrets and guilt. This verse is a reminder to look forward.

    Phillipians is a Bible book??

      Phillipians is a letter written to the church in Pillipi, by Paul as he was imprisioned. His letters, meant to encourage the new churches, also became part of the Bible.
