inside and hunker down in a warm place.
Hot tea? Coffee? Chili?
Whatever is your choice, but stay safe, warm, and inside.

DeleteThis has been the coldest and snowiest winter here in KY in ages. But I'm one of those weirdos who loves it :)
ReplyDeleteI grew up in snow in IL and Iowa. Too many experiences of lost power and dig-outs have left negative memories.
DeleteI am counting the days till spring. All this snow will be good for the soil and the gardens will be excellent this year - maybe.

DeleteI love looking at snow... in pictures. We had plenty of it when we lived in Maryland, but it's usually a very rare event here in Georgia. Usually. We're under a winter storm watch now. But if we get it, it won't even come close to what other parts of the country have had this year. Unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that a good part of the country has had ENOUGH frigid temperatures, ice, and snow, and is desperately looking forward to being able to whine about how hot and humid it is again.
Enough is enough. I only wish the snow could be loaded up and shipped out here.

Gail is correct. Those who have limited amounts of heating oil or wood are in dire straights. The elderly should be checked to see if they need anything.

ReplyDeleteActually I was writing that post down the california coast in San Diego. My brother & sister live in the -0 temperatures. Grew up there, live out here!
DeleteI can't imagine that kind of cold, even staring into my freezer, because I know I can shut that door and be warm again.

I think my advice would be to keep busy and type with mittens on. Then you would know how difficult it is for Penny to type her pawstings. Stay warm, drink hot chocolate.
