Spelling has gone by the weigh side.

 Spelling was always a part of school, learning to read, becoming a writer, and all the other academia opportunities. In 1993, a new curriculum came into being, one that said learning to spell was obsolete.  Computers will have spell check, won't they? Everyone will use computers anyway, so do away with cursive writing.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Granted, these are MILD misspellings.  The really bad ones are horrible. 

   

 

 

 

This can go on forever. It is getting worse.  I should carry a red marking pen with me to do what teachers do.

Oh, so many times I have wanted to doodle on student work, but didn't?

Does this lack of simple language principles drive you absolutely crazy? 

 Please, oh dear Lord. I do not know how much longer I, as a retired teacher, can stand this slaughter of language. The carnage is unbearable.

In this show, Sigourney Weaver is the blond sex interest in Galaxy Quest, 1999, with Tim Allen, Alan Rickman, and other name actors. The show is too interesting and funny to relay here.  But in this movie, Weaver has to tolerate her boobs and this inane job.

I HAVE ONE JOB TO DO is something that resounds through her role, and, it turns out that many throughout time have dealt with this claim.

Too many grammar and spelling errors exist in every media.  The teacher in me shakes a fist at them all. Who pays these people?? Doesn't anyone higher up edit or proofread what will be published?
