On being mindless

The best Decisions memes :) Memedroid

Some people are born with a propensity to mindless  behavior, which is developed to be an art over a life time.  How does one recognize someone who does not have a clue, who spends life in a marathon of stupid choices?

First, such a person would walk across a yard while the sprinklers are on full force, because one is playing “candy crush” something on an iPhone.

A man tore a tendon in his thumb after playing the game Candy Crush Saga on his phone for weeks - but reported he felt no pain at all (file photo)

Next, one such is seldom wary of danger, like crossing against traffic, while checking local movie times on that stupid iPhone.

A man talks on a cellphone while crossing a street in New York. More than 1,000 pedestrians visited emergency rooms in 2008 because of injuries suffered while using a cellphone.
Screeeccchhhh!

Finally, this person, who is downloading Johnny Cash’s Greatest Hits, will suddenly develop itchy welts on feet and legs after ignoring a friend’s text message, “Hey,   My dog is swarming with fleas.  Don’t go near it…”

Fact is, mindless people will find that being mindless does not serve them well. Ever.

Thanks to Elephant's Child who has provided 6 and/or 8 words for writers to use and challenge themselves.  The underlined words are from 2015.

And, many good wishes to Delores at Under the Porch Light, who created this opportunity to up the game of writers.  Delores retired from this, handing over the baton to River and other volunteers.

Obsessed

A life time of "Oh, he is so cool/sexy." has always been bald men.  Yes, bald men have a mystic coolness about them.

Bald and beautiful celebrities – WSYR

Vin Diesel, Fast and Furious (I love him so much.)

Jason Statham, actor and gold medal Olympic diving

Denzel Washington. Awesome actor, strong beliefs.

He is moving into the ministry, stepping out of the light of Hollywood.

Matthew McConaughey.  He is a Christian man, whose life revolves

around his family and faith.

This contains an image of:

Dwayne Johnson/The Rock

What can be said of The Rock.  He has quite a body of movies.

James McAvoy

"Mr. Tumnus" from Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe

The line-up of handsome bald men is long, but I chose the ones I knew and liked. But there is one bald man who started my obsession with these hunky guys.

Yul Brynner with Deborah Kerr in The Journey

They were in The King and I together. Magic.

Yul Brynner in The King and I ...etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

Hot, really hot.  Yul Brynner

It is just the way I roll.

L is for...

LISTS!  I am a list maker, with lists covering things to pack, things to buy,  places I need to go, blogs that are hosting blogfests, and just about anything else which can be made into a list.  It is not that I have to make a list in order to go from point A to point B.  No, actually I have a fairly decent memory.  With my migraines, I have had to make more lists than usual, when the brain fog creeps into my head.

Recently, the artsy nonsensical words that one must type after posting a comment following a blog entry have become fascinating.  As I decipher these collections of letters and begin typing, I noticed that my computer is frantically suggesting words, trying to guess what is or should be next.  Maybe my computer is trying to reach out to me?  Perhaps it senses that I am not a sharp as I used to be?

Thus, my list has words like these:  gicasu, farmal,, scistral, granzet, mrenit, firjilz, viltimal, miltrev, and on…

Alice in Wonderland has a lovely poem of nonsense words, “The Jabberwocky”.  I decided to take a jab at this fun idea, and compose a paragraph using some words on my list:

"The frentmc  blew in from the east that benai, a bad irmanc for me.  With an easterly frentmc, came the neezlt from the clftem  and all the memories I thought I had left in that desolate scrotm.  Leaning back against the barn with my jiftli  closed, I sensed those memories nuklim  up like so many yucca jamsic.  The flogtl  was dry when I arrived and when I left the neezlt.  Roberto had died in my arms the  irmanc I critleg  into his Vralnrd, at death’s door myself.  There had been time only for one nutkrc, and his whispered warning, “ Triglle  this jomnry  now.” Then he had closed his jiftli."

Lists a good things, but maybe I have carried them too far.
