The fans are passionate, really passionate. There are sports jerseys on fans of all ages and sizes. Being clueless, I did not even know there was any sort of competition at all, except sport bars showed little else.
Baseball passion goes deep.
How 3 year olds play ball
A three year old races to home base.
22 month old at the practice cage
That's my boy!
Indeed, baseball passion runs deep and it also starts early. Toddlers are the best of any team ever.
It is football for us, methinks not as exciting as your sports
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately your football/our soccer never became so popular here. We love watching it, my husband played in college.
DeleteWe were in Switzerland during the World comp. It was awesome.
Sure many passionate about it indeed. Toddlers are far more fun to watch than overpaid weenies.
ReplyDeleteThe kids are amazing! When pre-school children play soccer, it is incredible.
DeleteI'll have to watch these tomorrow, I have a visitor here right now.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will enjoy!
DeleteLove the kids with the interest. Not self interest.
ReplyDeleteThose babies are so thrilled to be playing. When they are strapped in their booster seats, they are exhausted.
DeleteDear Susan, oh, thank you so much for this morning laughter. How dedicated these little ones are. So intent on what they are doing. It's amazing to me what they are able to do at such a young age. I'm a real baseball fan and so It's great to see that young children are being encouraged to love the game also. And to play! Peace.
ReplyDeleteGlad it gave you a smile!
DeleteYeah, I'm not too enthused about baseball. Never have been. But that's cool. I don't begrudge those that love it.
ReplyDeleteBaseball is a good sport to be involved in, instead of football. Both are promoted and kids play at a young age. Baseball is safer, involves parents.
DeleteThat little boy plays baseball better than I can!
ReplyDeleteAnd they are a lot cuter!
DeleteI really miss going to baseball games. Over here in the UK, they play some weird game called cricket.
ReplyDeleteGo Blue Jays!
Gary
Gary! Good to see your name!!
DeleteCricket is totally confusing. I truly have tried but my mind closes down. English son-in-law sighed heavily.
I loved those videos. Having sat through many games, first with my four kids, who played every sport, and then my grandchildren whose main sport is soccer, I think I have given my all (including my aching back and posterior) to the games our children play.
ReplyDeleteOh the back and posterior! I feel your pain. But, you and I would not have missed seeing our babies play.
DeleteGo Red Sox! I wish I was in better health so I could fly to Boston and catch a game or two.
ReplyDeleteA friend is such a huge Red Sox fan that he is constantly checking cellphone. Wish you could enjoy the game live.
DeleteMy mom's a big baseball fan. We're all about NBA right now because my little one is Mr. Basketball. ;)
ReplyDeleteHe is growing soooo fast!
DeleteOur 4 yr old Grans are playing this year and their dad is coaching. Should be all sorts of fun.
ReplyDeletethose little guys will keep your interest for sure! Have fun, Daddy.
DeleteI love the little guys and also their dads. How proud they are. That little guy that walked to home base intead of running is too adorable.
ReplyDeleteI simply love that one! Only 3 years old, he knew he wanted to put the action into slow.
DeleteT-Ball was the most boring, but entertaining times of my life when my kids were little. Wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteT-Ball is really for close relatives, as they are the only ones who could stand it. I once watched my 6 yr old nephew at t-ball and he discovered he could run around the diamond two times. Precious.
DeleteHey thats Adam Sandler with his son giving him a choice, the Red Sox or Yankies and surprise... its the yankies
ReplyDeleteWho knew Adam Sandler could do that? Son did well.
Deletei can feel the enthusiasm of the nation for the season of baseball through your post my friend!
ReplyDeletethe shot of 22 old months child made me believe that some people are god gifted and bring their talent with their birth
Thanks for your comment! Those youngsters make me happy every time I see those videos.
DeletePeople do seem to get pretty excited over baseball. It's not my thing, but I'm glad it makes other people happy.
ReplyDeleteIt does gather people together in a passion that is hard to define.
DeleteLovely to see the kiddies enjoy it too!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Kids are the best part of any sport.
DeleteI was that clip of that little boy going so slowly on TV here a few times....it is absolutely terrific! lol
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope it shown at his 21st birthday party! :)
Oh, yes!! He is part of baseball history now.
