My son John was married on December 4th. to a
lovely woman Arlette. We flew to Chicago
for the weekend and witnessed a beautiful wedding, which filled me with tears
and happiness.
It was cold, just below freezing. Not 1° like it is today, but just cold enough
for flakes of snow.

By the time we returned to the hotel after the wedding,
big flakes of wet snow were falling heavily.
My granddaughters were with us, and they ran in and out onto the
balcony.

It was an amazing day.
We are blessed.
All is at peace.

Sounds like a wonderful time in Chicago. Jilda lived there when she was younger and fell in love with the city. We took our niece Samantha up there several years ago and she fell in love with the city too.

DeleteMy son told me that there were 9 in. of snow, but maybe it has melted?
Sounds like a great time was had indeed. I suppose seeing snow when you never get any would be grand. But when you get a ton, not so much haha
ReplyDeleteWeather is all relative. Years ago, in December, there was a family swimming in the Pacific Ocean near us. We asked about the temp., and they said they were from Russia.

Tossing It Out
We Californians are spoiled by our weather. But many of us have roots back in snow country, so we can't forget it.
DeleteCold and snow..... story of my life but when I lived in Florida for 25 years, I couldn't get away from there fast enough. I suppose you will be back to posting soon. I have recently returned to my blog after an absence. I guess I got tired of the same ole thing so I'm trying something different.
