Sing
a song
for
for
Robert…
On
a soft night in May,
What
had begun, quietly ended.
Room dimly lit,
Shrank into darkness.
Hands held tightly
Unfold
and fall.
Sing
a song
for
for
Him.

| My brother Robert Peck 1951 - 1997 |

I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute.
Even though Robert has been dead for 18 years now, every anniversary reminds me.
DeleteWonderful tribute indeed
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat.
DeleteWritten from the heart where they live on.
ReplyDeleteYes, from the heart.
DeleteEvery anniversary, and sometimes out of the blue. Which makes me wonder whether they are thinking of us as well.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Grief and memories are always behind the curtain. For my brother, who was dying from a brain tumor, passing through the curtain was a blessing.
DeleteToo young for such trouble. A lovely tribute.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne. As you say, too young.
DeleteBeautifully written, Susan. Time goes by, but the pain always remains.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does.
DeleteSad that he had only 46 years.
ReplyDeleteHe was born in Jan 1951 and I was born in Dec 1951. We were always into mischief together.
DeleteThat's an incredibly beautiful tribute. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your comment! Always good to see an blogger friend again,.
