I cannot see in this light
Nor can I be seen.
Easing down domed sky
Light plunders.
Scanning ray not at play
Sweeping over and under.
In pursuit of hidden prey,
Which it will not find.
I am hidden.
So we will play this game
Round and round
Light will seek,
But I will not be found.
Oh I like this Susan. Quite deep and mysterious. Hiding from the light, wishing not to be found. Ah but every once in a while a ray slips through and we think to ourselves "this is the ray of light I have been waiting for"...
ReplyDeleteVery intuitive.
DeleteA nice place to be to get away, but still waiting for that light to shine on through
ReplyDeletewhen the sun gets low enough in the sky, perhaps it will reach the dark places.
DeleteWhat a lovely old brick floor.
ReplyDeleteThat floor took some time and talent. Not every mason would/could do that.
DeleteI will hide, but never in the darkness.
ReplyDeletethat is a a great expression of your determination.
DeleteOh my. I have been there, and still spend a little too much time there.
ReplyDelete...as have I.
DeleteOh wow, this is beautiful! Lovely shot.

It is an exquisite shot, so inviting.
DeleteIs this a riddle? I was picturing a lighthouse. Can't figure what the place in the photo is. Looks like someplace in Europe.

Tossing It Out
I think it is in Italy or someplace like that. It is inviting.
DeleteA place to mend
ReplyDeleteThe word--mend--says so much.
DeleteThis is nice writing, and I like the picture. It looks like a peaceful place to have a sit.
ReplyDeleteI too love this site. Hope readers check this photographer.
DeleteI like the dark, I like darkness, but I don't like to hide.
ReplyDeleteHiding is sometime what we all do at one time or another. Creatures hide all the time.
DeleteSounds like a game of cat and mouse, light and shadow, here and there, then and now.
ReplyDeleteVery good!! An enigma of opposites!
