When life is unbearable in a California roasting oven, a CostCo trip is required. It is air-conditioned.
The chilled fresh produce room can hold 20 people, easy. The chilled dairy products room can hold at least 50 people, as long as everyone keeps moving.

And, of course, all those wonderful food samples. Anyone for a candy cane?
ReplyDeleteThe crush of carts and people made it almost impossible to get over to the samples! I did manage some, and even bought one of the products.

ReplyDeleteWe did end up spending $70 on items we needed. Usually when we go there, we call it the $100 store.
DeleteThis past week we turned on our air-conditioning for the first time this year. Couldn't help it. We just kept it on for a few hours each day because it just got unbearable inside. Costco is cool (literally speaking) but we never seem to get out of there without spending $300. That would be some expensive cooling off.

DeleteChristmas already!!!!!!! We haven't had Halloween and Thanksgiving yet. Still...it is cheery looking isn't it?

DeleteI remember when we all complained about Christmas wares in the shops at the end of October. Here it isn't even September, (well it is now, but not when you wrote this) and Christmas things are appearing. I'm not ready!
