One who observes and thinks about what has been seen, what has passed by my way, what greater meaning lies behind and beneath life's small events.
It's a fine Irish song!
The Clancy Brothers and Makem certainly had a great influence on the tempo of Irish folk.
Changed it all. Took the folk songs, kept the words, upped the tempo--good times.
It is the words which do it for my non-musical self.
It was originally hard for me to reconcile the image of a lark merrily singing and the plow boy rolling in the hay with a winsome lass.
A good rendition indeed, they sure went at it.
This song is way popular, when I went to check at YouTube. You have no idea just how many pubs, dance school, people singing at home, etc. videos there are!
Very nice song, thank you.
Fun to sing, great for dancing!
Go ahead...it won' t hurt...I'd love to hear what you think!
