Rain! Glorious rain!! Where are you,..

Wet….damp…drops…freshness…gray skies…water…rain…rain….

The Southwest is a tinder box of dry brown crispy vegetation.

Here are some photos of the last rain we had.  It was utterly wonderful.

Can you see the lines of rain??

The ferns were turning brown.

Ignore the pool toys--grandkids, what can I say?

Joy, pure joy.

Are you watching the skies for rain clouds?

    1. It was magnificent! It was the last big rain we have had in the three years of drought.

  2. We get enough rain here, so fine for me. Wouldn't mind a pool though lol

    1. If we could dig it up and send it to you, we would. When our family had young children, it was the place to be. Now, we old folks dip our toes and shiver.

  3. I am so happy rain arrived for you. I wish I could send ours back over the plains and the mountains.

    1. Ohio is noted for its weather. My sister has a lot to say about it (some profanity included).

  5. Ooooh. That looks totally blissful and would have me doing happy dances. I love rain. I love the smell and shine of rain-washed streets and gardens.
And we don't get enough of it. Not nearly enough of it.
Our weather boffins have been promising us rain. And lying through their teeth. We continue to get the incontinent pigeon variety. Splat, splat and it's gone.

    1. We had some splat last week, sometime in the night. The side walks were wet. Even a hint would help.

  6. Glorious rain! I love rain photos. And actual rain of course. We didn't get enough of it this past winter. And now summer is on its way, with the heat and the dryness.

  7. The pool toys are the best part, those mean there's kiddos around. ;) We've not had any extremes this summer, or lack of rain, but it wasn't a warm summer. Unusual.
