Slaughter of the Innocents

Happy Hunters with Cecil
Slaughter—that is what it is—slaughter.

The world news for the past week has been about slaughter of the innocent.

On MSNBC, commentators have spent a total of 41 minutes on Cecil the lion that was first shot by a cross-bow, tracked for some miles, and then killed by rifle.  His head was removed and he was skinned as trophies for the safari hunter.

It is horrifying to think that a doctor would pay $100,000 for the privilege of having this experience.  Money for a life.

And then, there is the Planned Parenthood scandal.  MSNBC devoted 11 minutes on the sale of aborted baby organs and tissue.  Despite the covertly filmed discussions in a restaurant where negotiations over the sales were discussed, this is now being discussed as an assault on the right to privacy.

Being that this all took place in a public venue, a restaurant, where every conversation can be heard, every table and occupants visible.

Finding a video on-line was an easy-to-find and nauseating experience.

Two doctors/technicians are pouring over two large petri dishes.  They are using tweezers to pull apart an 11 week aborted infant, setting aside the heart, brain, spinal cord, arms, legs, and more.

These were placed in the next dish, clearly showing the above body parts, and speculating on the condition of the part and value.

There is no way that I would post that video. But, I will display sonograms showing the babies at 11 weeks, 20 weeks, and 24 weeks.

at 11 weeks
Abortion are allowed up to 20 to 24 weeks, depending on the state's laws; this equates to five to six months gestation time.

at 20 weeks
24 week ultrasound 3D
at 24 weeks

Money for a life. Feel free to vomit.

Slaughter?

  1. I am not sure if you are against abortion or what the doctors are doing afterwards. I was certainly horrified at the shooting of Cecil. Abortion is a much bigger issue.

    1. I am pro-life and what Planned Parent Hood is doing is abhorrent.

The comparison of the two is the slaughter of lives unable to protect themselves.

  2. Abortion at one week is still murder.
    Sad about Cecil.

    1. These events will open up examination and discussion. Murder is murder.

  3. The dentist is nothing but a douchebag that should be locked up with Tiny and then he'd be the hunted. Abortion is a whole other kettle of fish.

    1. Money for a life--sale of the innocent--different but similar.

  4. This is why I don't watch the news. They sell sensationalism.

Granny always said, Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. That may be naive but it works good for me.

I understand your revulsion to both events. The Lion thing is disproportionate I think to the action. What about the person he paid? What about the people who planned the details? The doctor is not guilty alone. Who was the keeper of Cecil? The blame should be shared.

I have no excuses for the abortion issue. I could not do it.

    Very provocative post.

    1. That "safari" industry depends on the wealthy throughout the world. It is an easy way to make money and is illegal across the continent of Africa, China, Russia--any where that has predator animals. It makes me sick to see what has already been done.
An then the abortion clinics that sell the remains of aborted infants? That is murder. There are hospital based doctors who refuse to perform abortions and are "asked" to move to another hospital. When will the rights of these lives be recognized?

  5. At least Cecil was a warrior and fought his battles face to face. If he could speak he'd probably say these safari gunslingers have no honor.

    1. Good point. Honor does not exist when it relates to slaughter.
