The Game of Baseball

Related image

Bats, balls, uniforms, cleats and dirt are out and ready for baseball. That also means there are teams of pro and not-so-pro players are ready to hit the diamond.

The fans are passionate, really passionate.  There are sports jerseys on fans of all ages and sizes.  Being clueless, I did not even know there was any sort of competition at all, except sport bars will soon show little else.

Baseball passion goes deep.

It is important to check out the gear.

And then there is soccer/football! Thank you, Dear Lord, for blessing us all with these future sport stars.

Indeed, sport passion runs deep and it also starts early. In fact, toss a ball out for these boys and girls, and the action DNA kicks in.

This was a repost from 1918. 5-1-2018.  Like all my re-posts, I do updates. These are newer videos and they fill me with giggles.

    1. Four year old kids go and go. After all the games, I bet they go home and take naps.

  6. Huge baseball fan here. Cracked up at the slow kid. That is about how I would run the bases today.

    1. Isn't that amazing! The groin cup I saw on America's funniest videos a decade ago.

  7. What is better; playing sports or watching it on TV with a pizza and beer?

    God bless.

    1. Instead of beer, I'll have a nice Pinot Grigio, but I'll still have the pizza.

    1. Poor Charlie Brown. In the decades (5?) he has held the bat, no hit.

  9. My kids weren't much interested in sport, like me they preferred other things where they were much less likely to get hurt. My third child wanted to play Netball and was finally allowed to join an under9's team at age 7, then we moved to another state where they didn't allow 7 year olds so she lost all interest.

    1. Watching a nephew play T-Ball when he was 5 or 6. It was the best baseball ever.

  12. I never played any organized sports. Only empty lots where neighborhood kids got together. I did get excited at our kids little league games. Sherry's family has SPORTS & games embedded in their DNA. Mine not so much. I do preer the kids games to the adults, but that is me.
    Love sent from central NC.

    1. Kids have a joy of sports, and get paid nothing. Now that is love.

  13. Love the Peanuts clip. No sports for awhile and that's ok. I have lots of books to keep my occupied.
    Take care and stay safe.
