Strong gravity around planets |
I have been told by people that I do not look my age.
“I am 68…
“Oh surely not…you look about 55…really..no, 47?
And, I have been “hit on” by men not my husband or relative. They are in the upper senior level.
Here is the thing. I know I still hold onto that by a thin piece of fleshy fabric. I know that in a brief bit of time, I will get up, go to the bathroom mirror, and let go a silent scream.
I know that all cells in my body have probably formed a revolution, organizing through each inch of skin and fascia. They have whispered, “Okay—tomorrow, every one simply lets go and gives into gravity. Let'r all drop!”
I’ll let you know. It is just around a corner.
P.S. I suffer from severe migraines. These migraines had become so severe that the only viable solution is having BOTOX injections--not on my face, (except one in each eye brow) however. Temples, various places in the scalp, down the back of neck, into the shoulders. Thirty-eight injections are unimaginable in the pain factor. But the face? It is thinking about joining the revolution.
Please don't hate me because I'm beautiful...
YouTube, about 45 sec.
Not really. Go ahead...
Not really. Go ahead...
You don't look a day over 35 to me. I think you are truly blessed, even if it does come at a cost. Happy Easter, dear beautiful Susan.
ReplyDeleteOh, compliments are always good.
DeleteA phrase I heard often as a child was 'You have to suffer to be beautiful'. You have surely suffered for yours.
ReplyDeleteMy botox shots are every 10 weeks. The shots don't help my face much. I looked this hot before I got the shots. I take really good care of my skin, stay out of the sun.
DeleteI'm soon to be 68 and seem to be holding on to youthful looks pretty well too. It helps that I have good skin and decent bone structure from my mother. I'm certainly not going to bother with any botox or facelifts of any kind. I'm sure everything will start sagging as I lose the weight my doctor has ordered me to, but it's a good enough trade off to stay healthy and non-diabetic.
ReplyDeleteMy bone structure is from my dad's side, altho I used to be in denial. I think the skin part is also his.
DeleteThe botox has truly helped migraines. The skin has always been super good.
The warmth is not nice but it ennobles and teaches us sensations not nice, but in this suffering it is important to fuse together and find a solution to your suffering in your system inside the body, cleanse your energy inside. Connect with God. Jesus, when he was nailed to the cross, also suffered very much because he gave himself to him consciously. Regards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment.
DeleteHealth is more important than looks. I want to be able to be fit enough to enjoy life to the full and do what I can to remain fit andhealthy. Not easy in the current climate. Do what you have to Susan. Your body belongs to you alone.
ReplyDeleteI lost 25 pounds before my son's wedding, and have since lost 10 more.
DeleteAh ha, YOU said: I know that in a brief bit of time, I will get up, go to the bathroom mirror, and let go a silent scream.
ReplyDeleteOh! Surely NOT!
Sending sympathies, LOL
Sherry & jack
Best of luck on that one, Jack!
DeletePS: That was a short autobio, right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteBetter than nothing!
DeleteHi Susan - oh yes ... age mismatches ... luck or not - but definitely no botox (never ever) ... just let's live and forget ... there have to be a few others, who are less beautiful than us - the lucky ones???!!! Take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteWho knows? maybe someday I'll ask to extend the botox shots down to my face, but I doubt it.
DeleteI guess I'm the lucky one as I never had a "beautiful establishment' for the cells to revolt against, lol!
ReplyDeleteIt'll happen. I know it will.
DeleteNobody ever thinks I look younger than I am, LOL! How long can you go between all those botox shots before you need to do them again?
ReplyDelete10 weeks. When the migraine pain is usually about that time. And, believe me, the pain will return.
DeleteI am on a 3 day long migraine. Pressure front with all that rain caused that.
Enjoy what you have, every step of the way, that's all any of us can do.
ReplyDeleteWhen the insurance okayed the botox shots, I had been through multiple medications, which either caused allergic reactions or were ineffective.
DeleteDoes the Botox help? I had heard they were using it for migraines. If it helps, great. Whatever works, right?
ReplyDeleteIt does help. Doesn't take them away, just reduces intensity and frequency.
DeleteI'm gradually getting used to the late middle aged man in the mirror...
ReplyDeleteIt's a journey for all of us.
And soon it will be an upper ages man.
DeleteSo, botox beats Panteen, for migraines any way.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Panteen for years. Now I will pay attn.
DeleteWe are all the same age in Pluto years.
ReplyDeleteMy husband explained this all to me, but I still don't understand it.
DeleteI believe good genes (and jeans) and Spanx help in the aging process.
ReplyDeleteNow, Spanx! Haven't heard much about those.
DeleteGood genes, that amazes me. Interestingly, my migraines are from my dad's side of the family: Familial Hemiplegic migraines. Thanks, Dad.
