It is what it is.

Why the outrage? Some say Obama's foot-on-the-desk style is too casual for the gravity of the office, and others suggest his display of masculinity is better suited to the basketball court

  1. lol well at least he's enjoying himself, playing stick em up with someone in the first one, hide and seek and then relaxing. Hard day's work.

  3. Maybe there's a secret hiding place there in his desk?

  5. I could never understand why anyone would want to be President. It is a damned if you do, damned if you don't and on any given day, 50% hate you and 50% like you.

    1. Looking at all these candidates one can wonder if they are out of their minds, or they have strong commitment.

    2. At least two of them are definitely out of their minds.

  6. I am scratching my head over why these pictures were taken in the first place--let alone published.

    1. Would you have a photographer in your living room, taking photos of your every move? Of course not! What is that photographer doing there?

  7. The link under the first one does not link to that story. I'm kind of curious what their reaction was.

    1. I went back to that link, and had to scroll down quite a bit, much more than before. The English did not like that. Queen Victoria is one of the most admired and loved royals.

    1. It is amazing. National Treasure 2 focused on the desk, its origin, history, etc. What that desk has seen and heard must be scary. Big decisions.

  9. There are three elements in this post:

    Our President, of course

HMS Resolute desk, made from timbers of a wrecked ship, and give to the White House from Queen Victoria, in 1880

AND, why is there a photographer snapping seeming every event in the Oval Office?? That is careless and unnecessary in my opinion.

    1. Lots of spelling errors and missing suffixes above. Sorry!

  10. I like both the desk and the man very much but I can’t quite work out why there is a need to take photos? It’s all set up rather than spontaneous, surely? A bit of a photo op?

    1. There are so dang many photos at that site. Not photo op types, but somewhat like those taken at a family picnic.
