All I Want for Christmas Is...

Christmas is difficult when it comes to selecting gifts.  For other people, I am over-flowing with ideas, absolutely bursting with enthusiasm and anticipation.

I cannot say the same when someone asks what I would like for Christmas. This frustrates my dear adult off-spring.  My husband doesn’t care.  He will buy something that he knows that he likes, and therefore I will like.

Such happy little gnomes
Gnome make-over

Gary Pennick at Klahanie had a delightful gnome and fairy garden at his previous apartment.  He wrote about imaginary (?) events that transpired in this garden.  That began my own small collection of Gnomes.

But this year?  Oh, yes, I know what I would like!

I must re-think this Gnome thing.  So this is what I want for Christmas.

We all go through stages and phases.

  2. I have a dear friend that always buys her husband what she wants. He is fine with it as it saves him from thinking about what to get her.

Be careful of gnome snatchers. There have been many instances of gnomes being taken on long trips around the world. The one that you want though is quite unusual and might have trouble getting through customs.

    1. The gnome snatchers must be punished! One of the TSA agents might want to snatch this Godzilla smashing gnome for himself!

  4. That is awesome! I want that.
I can never name anything I want for Christmas either, mostly because if I want it, I just go buy it.

    1. You should set up your own crazy gnome garden, as there is a bizarre gnome trend going on. Check IKEA gnome battle.

  5. You know that these small creatures will look after your home and make sure you and your husband are safe. They are very powerful and don't any dino assistance.

    1. My f-in-law gave me every pig related item he saw because I grew up on a pig farm. My m-in-law finally stopped him.

    1. Apparently gnome related items have exploded. You would be amazed what you would find on Amazon to buy related to gnomes, and it isn't pretty.

  8. I hate to admit this too.... but I usually hate yard stuff but when I saw Gary's gnomes I thought, I'd like a couple of gnomes to watch over certain flower gardens. LOL
I hope you get EVERYTHING you want for Christmas.

  10. I remember Gary's gnomes, they were lovely, his whole garden was lovely. My mum used to love gnomes and had quite a few in different sizes. I have two.

  11. I hope Gary's gnomes don't see this. Hopefully, he monitors their Internet usage.
