The Letter F

Delores' first blogs were "The Feathered Nest:.

The letter F  must be the first of Flo and Winthrop posts, "Yellow Plane".  Delores of under the porch light posted this photo as a challenge:

Flying in this yellow box with wings and engine, Florence clutched her new Coach handbag.  It cost her $600, and dammit, she deserved it.

When her fiance, Winthrop, decided to take her up in his brother's plane, Florence hesitated.  James was an excellent pilot, she had been told.

After a spectacular loop and bank, Winthrop turned to her with a giant diamond ring in hand, "Will you marry me, Flo?"

Florence looked at him in a daze.  She opened her $600 Coach handbag.  "Blaaah!" and she threw up.

I give you The Letter F.

Life is never easy, never goes as one plans.

  1. Not exactly a cloud 9 feeling that most girls get with a proposal.

  11. LOL. Stopping by from the A-Z and a new follower. Like you, I'd like to answer all of my comments but like you, I'm too busy visiting other blogs. Anyhew, you might find my A-Z theme interesting ... or revolting. I'm doing it on Flight Terminology. Hubby and I are avid fliers in the RV7 he built. Today, letter F, I shared links about our difficult trip to Saskatchewan last summer. Oh, yes. Was sick to my stomach from rough air and almost puked ... but managed not to, for two hours.

  12. I remember that photo prompt. And would have beaten Flo to it. A handbag wouldn't have been big enough. A suitcase wouldn't have been big enough. A fiancee might have been...
Fine and funny F - thank you.

  14. What a hell of a reaction to a proposal and the ruination of an expensive handbag.

  16. I'm laughing. I'm betting that is a proposal they will NEVER forget. What the heck, she didn't REALLY want the handbag did she?

  22. Gosh, that bag will never be the same. I hope it was washable.
I don't even know what a coach bag looks like.

  23. The way he acted (ew or 'let me get you something to clean that up') would have sealed the deal. :)
