Where is...?

After what has seemed like months, I have unpacked my ever-rotating suitcase.  Laundry is folded and put away.  My blog is starting to appear in my brain and ideas gently unfolding.

There are problems.  They all start with “Where is/are….?”

My toothbrush and whitening tartar reducing toothpaste?  Can’t find them.

Aquage™ shampoo and contioner?  Dang—those things are expensive!

Those trinkets and gifts for our family?  WHERE did I put them?

The list is much longer and more pathetic.  No reason to embarrass myself.

Basically, it all reduces to the simple facts:  Either they are lost, or I will find them the next time we travel.

  2. They are all in some bag, somewhere. What I have found is that somewhere is usually right under your nose.

    1. Usually things get covered up by other things. It is only when I work through the layers that the items are discovered.

  3. Ha, it's funny how stuff hides when it comes time to unpack. We've got the same thing going on over at our place. ;)

  5. Mystery loves company. Okay, so I twisted that adage, but it fits here? I lse more luggage than Delta Airlines. Not actual pieces, but myriad little stuff I was SURE i packed carefully. Did you check your purse?

    1. I have checked my purse, but will now explore the car trunk/boot. That is a good place to lose stuff.

  6. There are more zipper compartments in your luggage than you recall. Open them all at once, why don't you. I remember finding something behind a zipper that I firmly refused to open the first couple of weeks because "I never use that compartment."
My dad always said, It's in the last place you look."

    1. You are so right! I recently spent big bucks to replace a rotary cutter blade for my quilting. When I returned from the quilt store, the darn thing was lying beneath some fabric.

  10. Isn't that the way it goes? You put it someplace safe so you'd be sure to find it and... Or... the moving/travel fairies have them.

  11. It's been happening more and more to me lately. The other day as I was preparing my sons' lunches for summer school, I thought that I ran out of turkey for my older son. It turns out that I made his sandwich first, and it was buried underneath the cold-cuts. Hopefully, we won't have anymore "senior moments" anytime soon!
